If you are a total beginner, we suggest starting with either Chineasy: The New Way to Read Chinese or Chineasy Everyday. You might wonder what the differences are between them:
Chineasy: The New Way to Read Chinese was published in 2014 and is organised based on the Chineasy Method, i.e. building blocks, compound characters and phrases. You’ll be able to learn the origin behind them and how to expand your vocabulary by applying the Chineasy Method. Here’s a review from our reader.
Chineasy Everyday, was published in 2016, and it’s a follow-up volume of Chineasy: The New Way to Read Chinese. However, it requires no experience of the first. The book expands the scope to include all facets of Chinese life and culture in eleven central sections. Check out our book trailer here to learn more!
If you are looking for common traveling phrases, our lightweight pocket-size Chineasy Travel is for you. You will be able to communicate with locals, order food and drinks, go shopping, ask for directions or take public transportation without worrying about the internet connection or translation quality.
For children, we highly recommend our book: Chineasy for Children, featuring playful Chineasy illustrations that relate each character’s shape to its meaning, alongside games and activities to make learning interactive. If your kids love learning through drawing, then our digital publication: Chineasy Coloring Book is an ideal choice for them.
